An excellent two-part series on PBS, about the history of the Berlin Wall and what happened after it came down. I was in Berlin in October 1989 when East Germany started to unravel, and I can tell you the atmosphere there was electric.

I believe these two shows should be required viewing in every public school in the US (and probably the world). Never happen, of course. Even in this day and age, there are still way too many socialists and apologists in the ranks of educators. [I did a search and it does not appear this has already been posted.
