Gents, have any of you guys seen/felt/shot one of these?  There is one up for grabs at a local store.  I have never heard of nor seen one of these until I saw it in the store.  The rifle "takes down" into two seperate pieces.  There is a video floating around the net showcasing one of these in 44 MAG.  The one in my local store is a 45 Colt (according to the tag...I can't find this particular version in 45 Colt on the web page).  The price tag on the rifle in my local store is $1100.  That is mighty steep for a lever gun.  Any feedback you guys can share on this particular model is greatly appreciated.  The search results that I can pull up mainly talk about other models.  Again, thanks for your thoughts.

Chiappa is very local to me, some of there stuff is pretty good.  I would like to check out a 16" but not for 1100.

My thoughts as well.  I would jump on it for half the price, but for 1k I think I can find a better investment for my money unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I saw a couple of these chambered for the 45-70 (1886) in stainless, IIRC they were called the Kodiak. They appeared to be very nice rifles of very good quality. They were priced a little higher than the Mirokou produced 1886.

Walmart and AK Guns and Ammo had the Henry Big Boy 44 rifles the other day.  Been trying to find a Remlin 1894c .357

If I were going to spend a k, I'd get one of the miroku winchesters.  The fit and finish is fantastic

I would much rather have an 1873....that would be pretty kick ass.  I think the power steering pump just pooped the bed on my wife's vehicle so I'm pretty certain that will have negative impacts on my folding money.  A short barreled 45-70 would probably be much more useful over a 45 Colt carbine anyway.
