I know this is in the wrong spot, but I might actually get some responses here.
I am about to get another light, but for my rifle. Why buy a surefire scout with 120-200 Lumens "weapond mounted", and a surefire P2Xfury with 500 Lumens. I see LaRue sells them both in mounts, so if the rifle is for indoor and outdoor use, why not go with more power, plus the P2X is cheaper? can someone school me on this? |

The higher lumen light is great outdoors but indoors it will be to bright and possibly blind you and washout and what you are trying to shoot . Not an expert but from my experience 200 lumen is the most I would want indoors to light up a intruder in my house. Edit - I have a Surefire 600c on my AR and it's plenty indoors and outdoors unless you are doing some night Pig hunting or something. |

I would actually say have something around 100 or so lumens may be even better inside a house - your distances are probably going to be under 30 feet max, unless you live in a mansion. edit - if you need to see long distances, having a high powered flashlight may help, but it isn't the correct answer... the correct answer is you break out the night vision... |
