Made the mistake of watching the last episode first.
The rest fall into the whole "it hasn't been done right yet..." arguement. |

just watched the first video.
Video 1: Cliff notes: Socialism is great. Socialism works and would have made the perfect society if it weren't for Stalin abusing the system. The video is insinuating this and more clearly defines this at the end. Curious how the rest of the series goes. What i took away from the video, was that these types of people (blithering unquestioning party idiots) is that they will blindly march themselves in the name of their dear leader. Even into an internment camp where they are killed. One woman was so loyal, when her husband told her what his job was(killing innocents for stalin) she threw a knife at him and divorced him. snitched on him. Then HE was Purged. Later she married someone else. Later HE was purged too. Yet she was still a loyalist until she herself was purged. LOL. Video 2: This one is about nuclear power development and struggle with Russia. Mostly about the US. Video wasn't bad and was informative. Does have an anti nuke and warmonger feel to it. I never knew about the army and marines using troops as guinea pigs to see who can get closest to a blast. I was waiting for the video to talk about all the good things about of nuclear energy, but the closet they came up with were trying to show how they used propaganda. I am reconsidering watching this documentary. It is clearly written by someone with a warped view of the world. The videos do have lots of facts but they do not counter balance some arguments and overall gives a slanted message to the viewers. socialism is good and will work, us is a warmongering, propagandist, death marching nation. |
