| Do these things work. Any side affects? I really need to quit smoking and cold turkey does not work. |
|
Worked for me. There's been a couple large threads on 'em around here with some good info.

Yes they work but you have to at least somewhat be in a genuine mindset to quit tobacco. In other words if you're still young(in your early 20's, but smoked long enough to be seriously addicted to nicotine) and you are still completely healthy and obsessed with the exact taste of your preferred cigarette and will settle for nothing else, then you probably aren't ready for e-cigs yet. But if you're past that stage, getting a little older and are starting to cough a little bit extra in the morning or more than you used to, then now's the time to start trying out some e-cigs. Exception to the young people I was talking about.... Teenagers and young people who haven't smoked that long(less than 5 years and aren't seriously addicted to tobacco) should be able to make the switch pretty easily. |

I smoked for over 15 years, tried the patch, gum, inhaler at points throughout that time and none of them worked. 3 and a half years ago one day I started coughing a lot one weekend... I didn't smoke for 2 days because of it. Then I needed some nicotine, and drove to the store to try out the new e-cig I had been seeing on the shelf for a couple months. I never looked back, never smoked a single tobacco cigarette since then.. Experimented with a bunch of different e-cigs and flavors until I found the right one, and I'm good. No tobacco smoking in over 3 years, now every time I see a tobacco sign I think to myself, "man that stuff was kinda nasty." No regrets for smoking 15+ years, just glad its over, especially for the wallet. One of the things that really made me happy about quitting was not paying up all those taxes to the liberals. |

After 25 years of smoking a pack a day. On the spur of the moment I ordered one after reading the above cited thread. On October 18, 2012 at noon, I opened the package, put it together and took my first puff. I had not planned to quite that day. I still have a pack of cigarettes I had just purchased. I haven't smoked since. It turned it off like a lightswitch. So far I estimated that I saved roughly $800.00 on my vice, which is nice to. Do it. |

I started vaping two weeks ago, and this is what I use. very happy with it. All you need in addition to this kit is a drip tip (mouthpeice) and e-liquid. I've had one order with that vendor, and it went effortless. If you want to learn more, look up pbusardo on youtube, and www.e-cigarette-forum.com. I feel so much better, and beer tastes better. |

Been using an e-cig for about a year and a half now and won't ever go back. Sure I've been tempted to go back and even puffed on a cigarette a time or two but they are disgusting now...
For what its worth I started with a safe cig (disposable filters similar to Blu) and now I use an Ego-C Upgrade battery with 2.4ml cartomizers. I like the Ego much more. |

Worked for me, too. Last smoke was on Nov. 3, 2012.
I have an app on my phone that tracks the following info for me: I have been a non-smoker for 156 days. I would have smoked 2,340 cigarettes since my quit date. I have saved $702, by quitting cigarettes. I haven't quit nicotine altogether, as I still use my e-cigs. But I feel 100x better than I used to. It's so cheap, that I'm not terribly concerned with quitting altogether right now, but it is my end goal. |
