Hello GD!
I've been lurking for a long time, joined last month and decided to post this evening instead of working on the work I'm supposed to be working on. I spend most of my time in AR-15, Armory (Blades and Tactical Gear), Outdoors (Survival) and, of course, GD. I was raised in Dallas, went to college in East Texas (SFA - Criminal Justice), joined the Army in '01 (11B), worked for Homeland Security for 3 years after that and got into sales in '07. I accepted a "promotion" and moved to Memphis in '11, but I'm moving back to the North Dallas area in the next 3-4 weeks - can't wait to be back in Texas!! Anyway, here's the rundown... - I have a beautiful SO (we're currently living in sin, but we're getting married this year) and she's an angel for putting up with me - she could've done way better - We have a new baby boy - John Michael - first name, 2 words - he's completely changed the way I think about the world - I have a dag - Ellie - she's a Lab mix and she's pretty much the best dag ever - Beans (unless it's going on a hot dog) - .45 = 9 mm (they each serve a purpose, and what's a first post without a little controversy?) - Colt 6920, iron sights, Surefire on the front end (bought before the retardedness) - I don't "run" or "deploy" my gear - if you see me use those words then I'm being a smartass and making fun of someone who has posted above me - "You're" is a contraction for the words "you" and "are" - I have a Criminal Justice degree from a small state school and I don't even think it's that hard of a concept - I'm a knife guy first, gun guy second - Tex-Mex food is not Mexican food, it's Tex-Mex food, although in Texas we just call it Mexican - What-A-Burger > In-N-Out - What-ABurger whilst under the influence of alcohol > Heaven - Hard work pays off - if it was easy or fun, it wouldn't be called work - I don't like to go to work, but I do - that's what makes the world go 'round - FBHO and the FSA - I usually keep my mouth shut unless I have something important to add so I'll probably have a low post count - having a low post count and/or joining in '13, in and of itself, doesn't make me wrong - If I'm worng, I'm wrong - If I'm right, I'm right - both happen occasionally - Hopefully I won't be grouped in with the retarded faction of the 13ers I'm looking forward to learning alot and hopefully contributing alot as well!
