So I am enrolled in the Magpul Carbine 1 class in Yakima, WA in May. I was looking on Magpul Dynamic's website and it says it is recommended that "If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea." My .40 Cal Hi-Point Carbine is brand new, so I know it is reliable. I picked .40 Cal so I can use the same caliber with my pistol (It's a Hi-Point too, Anyways so here is my question, do I really need to bring a "spare weapon system"? I'd love to since it is recommended but I paid almost $450 for my Hi-Point carbine and it's obviously money I could use on other things, like Tapout stickers to go on my Dodge Neon, tribal tats, Axe body spray, and maybe more Hi-Point mags. Thanks in advance. B2W |

Look, I know I am a 13er, but I've watched the Magpul Art of the Dynamic Carbine DVDs at least 6 times (each!) And Haley or Costa never said anything bad about a Hi Point carbine. Some students even had a few AK garbage can rifles in their DVDs.
I am going to use my Airsoft gear for my rig though, it holds my Hi Point mags pretty good and I doubt anyone will notice the difference. I want to upgrade to a Kydex holster for my Hi Point pistol, but I'd have to get one custom made since it looks like all the ones that are carried in stock are for Glocks, M&Ps, Berettas, etc... Having to buy another Hi Point carbine would delay getting a custom Kydex holster until at least Christmas though |

Post pics of kittens or something, maybe your rig/kit/armor/guns/weapons platforms/weapons systems/fighting implements. Make this thread worth the bandwith |

When Steve asks "Is anyone shooting some weird shit?" at the meeting before class starts you should raise your hand. . 40 Cal isn't weird shit. Don't be a dumbass http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/27005458.jpg 12B, watches The Hurt Locker, ready for Afghanistan. You did not know I was Army JROTC for a year, huh big shot? |

Well shit you should have said you were a proto-Sir! Head on over to the .mil forum and drop some knowledge. |

Sorry to say this, but anyone dumb enough to take a hipoint carbine to a Magpul carbine class deserves the shit that they're getting.
Hope there's video of your class, where all the other students avoid you like the plague, Costa giving you the "WTF?'" look, and your HSLD hipoint failing |

Quoted: Ahh what the hell. I'd roll into that class with your HP gear. See what happens. despite the hate, they would probably work fine. If not, run it over in your car on the way home, then put it in the grill and cook at 400 for 3 hours, then send it to hipoint and they will still warranty it. |

Sorry guys, just really bored at work and there is this douchebag (flat brim hat, of course) that drives an ulgy ass yellow Dodge Neon (w/ a Tapout sticker) that annoys the shit out of me. He sees me on this site and other gun websites and tries to talk to me about guns. I haven't even told him I own any, just that I am "thinking about buying one" which is the truth, because I always am. He is your typical Modern Warfare 3 playing, Airsoft commando, which really sucks since he is the only guy in the office that doesn't have some .mil expierance. Recently he tried to convince me and the guy that sits next to me that we could steal office supplies then sell them on ebay. I let him think I was entertaining the idea while the guy who sits next to me looked at him like he has a dick gorwing out of his forehead. Like I said, a douchebag to the 10th power... So after work I went by a LGS that I usually only buy ammo from and wanted to look at the shotguns. A lady was there before me so the guy working the counter helped her first, naturally. She said she needed a .45 "for protection." At first the guy tried to talk he into a smaller caliber but she relented and insisted that she needed a .45. He took her right to the lone Hi Point and started telling her how reliable it was, how it has a "Sears Craftsman like" warranty, and that if she shot and missed a whole magazine she could still throw it at a perp and hit him and still hurt him. I thought I was hearing Biden as a gun salesman. She didn't want it because it "looked ulgy," then the guy came to me and I didn't want to ask him one thing about any guns and just asked for some ammo. Then I stumbled upon the Hi Point Forums post on here yesterday and saw that Hi Point "hottie." It really was the perfect storm between the Hipoint fattie, Hipoint recommendation at the LGS, and the Couch Commando at work. Here's one of my sticks. The others are Spikes and Stag. http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/7717/995ts14.jpg damn she iss hot....... why wait anymore time with ARs....... |
