It depends,

if you've read the book. No you will not like it.

If you haven't read the book probably.

I haven't seen it but I've read the book. Is it like the book at all?

The makers didn't spend much money making it, but the movie gets the point across.  Cameo from Teller and it's a speaking part.  It's not a waste of time to watch but it certainly isn't a masterpiece.  The events depicted in the film are eerily similar to the big government BS we are seeing today.

Read the book, watched the first one, haven't seen the second one...

The first one was how you would remember the book if you read it all at once and were drunk the whole time.  Two months later.

Boh movies are flawed.

It really is an impossible task to try to turn that book into a watchable movie.

Book was better, but you had to wade through the epic speeches. Movie missed some stuff, but is entertaining and stays true to the spirit of the novel.

I'll take Dagny I please...

I'm reading the book, and it stayed on message. The graphics suck, but its not meant to be a competitor to a DreamWorks film.  Keep an open mind...as far as the storyline/movie comparo goes, the same strainer was used on ASpt2 that was used on The Hunt For The Red October. It pulled out good details and the plot, but left out a lot of backstory.

The second one is far better than the first, that one was atrocious. There is really no way to distill the book properly into a three part series, it would need way more than that and a lot more work than has been put into this. Over all it's a let down, but as bad as the first one was I'm surprised it came back at all and it wasn't bad to watch. If I remember correctly Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were partially bank rolling the Atlas Shrugged series and would act in it as well, but Hollywood scuttled it and they couldn't get enough funding to do it right, and it's evident watching it.

Way worse than the first.  No idea why they didn't keep the same cast.  I found that to be extremely annoying.

Saw it the other night.

It sucked.

To stay true to the book and put it on film it'd have to be pared down a lot. Then it'd make for a pretty long series. Condensing it into three movies, on a shoestring budget and short deadlines? You're only hitting the high spots.

haven't heard anything good about the movies, first one was released last year to get tea partiers all riled up for the election, how'd that work out?
