I recently discovered the Scout scope mount for my Mini-14 had cracked along two of the mounting screws.  Never abused, and carefully hand-tightened.

So I e-mailed Ultimak describing my problem.  Within minutes, a CS rep e-mailed back to me saying that possibly the mount was a very early version (quite probable, IMHO), and some had, indeed, cracked until a different alloy was substituted.  No worries, though, Ultimak would send me a new unit.  Unfortunately, due to demand, that might be an indefinite time in the future.  In the meantime, they were curious about the age of the unit, and asked me to send it to them.  No problem, says I,
They sent me, via e-mail, a pre-paid UPS return label the next day.

I began fixing to take off the old unit, when a shipping notice arrived in the e-mail.  Ultimak had shipped the new unit before I had even taken the old unit off the Mini-14.  The new unit arrived the next day, and I used the box for new unit to ship back the old one.

I think that's pretty good customer service.
