I kinda want one..... I have some great memories from when I was a kid. Saw one at walmart the other day when I was looking for ammo. Should I get one for the hell of it?

Yup, you should.  There's better air guns out there, but none are the red ryder.  Never met anyone I cared to hang with that couldn't get the purchase cost worth of fun back out of one.

Absolutely! My dad uses one to shoot carpenter bees that try to bore holes into the roof of our shop

Just be aware that they aren't the same as they used to be.
Lots of plastic, worse sights, crossbolt safety.

Personally, I'd pass. Nostalgia is fine, but not when it really  isn't the same thing you remember...

Thats what I was thinking. The sites look kinda cheep and not very accurate.

I had the Crossman BB/pellet rifle, pump up.
Ohhh man, here goes the next panic, BB guns and pellet rifles.
What's next, slingshots.

I have one.  Great fun shooting beer cans around the campfire.

Mine shoots right a bit but a little Kentucky Windage and I can hit what I want consistently.

It's a smoothbore BB gun with very little velocity.  It's accuracy potential is pretty darned low to begin with.

Obviously I had one as a child! Sitting in the safe in case I ever have a son some day!
