So at first I did not like the grip texture on the finger grooves on my gen 3 19, and still don't. I bought some rubber talon grips for it, but lately the talon grips made it feel a lil bigger than without it so I am back to nothing. The texture on the 19 feels rough and kinda hurts a lil bit, but on the 17 it felt fine so whats the deal? I also grip pretty hard so that might make it feel rougher than usual. Anyway my question is do you guys like the texture on the glock gen 3 frames?

Quoted: I think the grip on the gen 3 is comfortable. The g19/23 frame fits my hand very nicely for a concealed carry piece. I think ideally, the finger seperators wouldn't be so chunky. But no way is that grip too rough. Not the grip as a whole just the finger groove texture bothers me. |
| The Gen 4 Glock is ok but I prefer the Gen 3. I was teaching a new shooter and had her using a bunch of guns. She was pretty nervous and had a death grip on the guns. We got to a Gen 4 Glock 17 and when she got done shooting she said her hands hurt and she had hash marks embedded in the palms of her hands. It took awhile for them to go away as well. I guess one could say the Gen 4 is more aggressive of a pattern. |

I also get the hash marks on my hands but on the finger groove are bothers me not the back strap. |

Quoted: The texture used to hurt me, so I took some sandpaper and lightly smoothed out the checkering. Since then I have gotten older and developed calluses and it doesn't bother me anymore, no matter the generation. I might sand it to make it smoother as well if the grip tape on the finger groove texture does not work out. |

Seriously there is no easier frame to mod than GLOCK http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/bigg089/IMG_0401.jpg http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/bigg089/IMG_0408.jpg The texture is what bothers me not so much the grooves. |
