I have been using Slip 2000 for a while on my ARs and SIGs and I recently read about Fire Clean on facebook by a couple of friends.. I thought to give it a try and just ordered 8-oz of it.  (Very professional people answered me within an hour at the company and organised a shipping for me).

What you guys think about it ? I'm particullary interested by the "coating" effect of that product, that supposeldy makes everything run smoother.

I wanted to try it until I saw a video from them saying any other oil mixed with theirs will gum it up or something to that effect.  If I forgot it at the range I would be screwed, unlike Mobil 1 which plays nice with others.

honestly i have not really found anything to be significantly better than anything else when it comes to quality cleaner/lubes.

Check what "Ranger proof" has to say about it on Facebook.

Well, at least it's a cleaner too. My current slip2000 is good but doesn't clean much

I believe very few out there are superior than others. There may be special cases like what works in very cold temps, but that's it.

Ok.

So i wanted to give it a try and contacted Fire Clean. They were very professional and shipped me two bottles in less than a week.

I got it yesterday, and applied it to my AR-15s according to their instructions.

I previously was using the Swiss issued military grease for assault rifles, and then switched to the slip2000..

Fire clean made a difference. After cleaning my guns dry, applying fire clean allowed me to remove even more carbons fouling. I then reapplied some and let it rest over night. In the morning a wiped it off, and reapplied a new layer, as instructed.

Result. My ARs have never been so smooth. When I pull the charging handle, my BCG slides in and out very smoothly , more than it ever has.

And I am not using any nickel boron or chrome plated BCG.

I haven't shot it yet, but I wanted to write a early report.  It does work in lubricating the gun better than any previous product I have used in the past.

More AAR after the range session on Tuesday.

I've been using 10w30 since I first got into ARs for lubrication. I've only heard good things about the Fire Clean though, I may have to give some a try.

In for range report

Fireclean is good stuff.  The only other product I have yet to try is Froglube.  Unless froglube is really really good I'll be sticking with fireclean.

Break Free is still very good.

Eezox is unique ... but too thin for lomg term lubrication.

Freischütz Gold, from Germany is interesting. It DOES attack Copper. And lubrictants.

I use it on a suppressed AR15, and some .22's. works great, and over time the guns have become easier to clean.
