more like im just getting more and more confused as to what i should buy...

anyhow, im getting binos for hunting/observation etc...

narrowed it down to a couple now...i need input on them,

1.) Steiner Military/marine 8x30 - $190 - $130 reconditioned...
2.) IOR Kadett 8x30 w/rangefinder - $255
3.) IOR Military 7x40 w/rangefinder  - $305

anyhow, im leaning towards the 8x30's cause they weigh in at 1/2 of the 7x40's.

any opinions?

whether i will NEED the rangefinder or not isnt really an issue, i was good with the M22s as a Cav scout, and i just like having it.  (although i would prefer the M22 reticle)

so...is IOR's glass that much better than Steiners?  how about durability-wise?

Out of sheer boredom I was tricked into reading this post last night...

I posted a request for comments about the m24 mini bino and got no replies...

For some reason those who know ain't telling.

Back to the top and at least you got a reply...

I don't know, so I ain't tellin'.  [:D]

I have had many topics with no replies.  It comes down to when you post and who is on (ie. I post at 2AM).  Also, your topic title makes a huge difference.

Your "plot thickens" title will draw a lot of reads from the GD type people looking for a good story, but many of the more "serious" posters will probably pass it by.

#2 or #3. The rangefinder will be very valuable when the time comes.
