I was just listening to a Police Chief on the TV, unfortunately I missed his jurisdiction. But I wonder if anyone can tell me why my colt 6920 is an ASSAULT WEAPON and the very same Colt carried by the police is a PATROL RIFLE. Now I realize that I don't do much patrolling anymore, but I also don't do any assaulting at all.

Lots of people are hung up on names... Arfcom will erupt into a fight over the term 'battle rifle', even though no military actually uses such a term. In the case of gun control, it gets even better. A P90s is an 'assault rifle' in your hands, but in .gov's it's a 'personal defense weapon'. |
