So this '85 S-15 truck came with a worn out 2.8l that was changed out for a 3.4l. It went from a 2 barrel Rochester to a Holley 4 barrel. I got tired of messing with the carb and decided to upgrade to TBI.
I've got the 2.8l ECM and using 4.3l injectors, which is what is common to do for the 3.4l's. I've finally got it wired up and started tonight, but am having an idle issue where it won't stay running long enough for me to set the timing and idle up. The ECM is not throwing any codes just yet. It seems like the engine is hunting. I've rebuilt the throttle body. There is good flow from the injectors. I've set the TPS to .550 vdc. Any suggestions? Here is a picture,
