So this '85 S-15 truck came with a worn out 2.8l that was changed out for a 3.4l. It went from a 2 barrel Rochester to a Holley 4 barrel. I got tired of messing with the carb and decided to upgrade to TBI.

I've got the 2.8l ECM and using 4.3l injectors, which is what is common to do for the 3.4l's.

I've finally got it wired up and started tonight, but am having an idle issue where it won't stay running long enough for me to set the timing and idle up. The ECM is not throwing any codes just yet. It seems like the engine is hunting.

I've rebuilt the throttle body. There is good flow from the injectors. I've set the TPS to .550 vdc.

Any suggestions?

Not sure on that, but should be about 13 psi based on the fuel pump specs. Will check that tomorrow.

I would say 35psi or no go.I have not done any tbi stuff in 15 years so I may be mistaken.

if u could log it... idle air flow and fueling at idle.  ls series motors dont like running at idle on a stock tune with a moderate cam.  its always the RAF(running airflow) and the cranking VE

is there any sort of IAC?

13 is good.  its got to be airflow.

For the 454 that would be ok but the smaller 350 style only need 13psi. Hell the factory was ok with 10-13psi

There is an IAC in the throttle body.

Oh, the spec for the 2.8l, 3.1l and 4.3l is 13psi.

Next question I guess would be what is the PWM supposed to be?

Turns out that the ecm I was using is bad. Not exactly sure what the problem is with it, but since I have another that seems to be working correctly, I'll use that for the time being.

So far:
