Does anybody like this guy? The fact that he has a hard on for Kel-Tecs makes me question his sanity. |

I do not care for Kel Tecs either, most of them I have had the pleasure to own were cheap shitty little guns. They fucked up my favorite gun they made when they turned the Sub 9 into the Sub 2000. The Sub 9 was a better product before they cheapened it. |
I was watching his reviews yesterday and he was saying that the Kel-Tec PF9 was better than a Ruger LC9.
Ruger is known for outstanding quality while Kel-Tec is known for making guns that barely function. Then he had the audacity to have a head to head competition between the guns with a Kel-Tec representative standing right there. |

I enjoy his videos on Youtube, even if I don't always agree with him. This. And according to his channel page some 287,248 people like him. Why can gun owners not get along? We are our own worst enemy. An idiot is an idiot whether a gun owner or not. |

We are our own worst enemy. Why can't two people agree on how they want their eggs cooked? Now you have your answer... I find him boring to watch and listen to, but I give him props for doing his own thing regardless. I just think there are other people who do a better job of doing gun reviews on you tube. |

What firearms manufacturer has been responsible for more gun innovation in the consumer market in the last 7 years? Take a look at when the LCP and LC9 came out compared to the KelTec equivalent. I don't even own a single KelTec, but to deny their innovation in the industry is ridiculous. What has Ruger designed that compares to the sub-2000, ksg, or pmr30? |

I don't like any gun gurus on youtube. As with anything you have to take them ALL with a grain of salt. I will say though I think that the MAC reviews are pretty polished reviews and Sturmgewehr does a reasonably good job. I do not agree with everything he says but overall they are decent videos. Not a fan of his either I am just being objective Nutnfancy seems amateurish compared to the MAC videos. I have watched others of varying quality... |

I know that the LCP and LC9 are blatant rip-offs of Kel-Tec products. That's one thing Ruger does, they rip off other gun makers (like they did with the American, which is basically just a Savage Edge). However, when Ruger makes a gun, it works. It works great. I would rather have an LC9 in my waist band than a PF9 any day of the week. With the PF9 you have no confidence that it will work when you need it to. There is no such worrying with the Ruger. |

Its not a matter of innovation its a matter of delivering a decent fucking product, overall you will find more unhappy Keltec customers than you will happy ones. Lots of people have had bitches over the years with their guns because the damn things do not work. The same guy owned Grendel and many of the designs or their concepts were carried over from Grendel to Keltec. There were a lot of failures in the Grendel product line wonder why that company did not survive? Well Keltec does the same thing just not quite as bad or as frequent as Grendel did. |

I like his reviews. I have used them to help guide me in some of my knife purchases.
As much as I'd like to believe I'm a high roller (I'm definitely not), I still like to do a lot of research before I drop $200-$300+ on a folding knife. I've found his videos helpful. I really don't understand the dislike for him. *shrugs* |

He's a shill for companies that give him stuff, and he lies about them doing so. He advocates against civilian (non-LEO) use of body armor, and I'm sure other things. No. Don't like him. Where and when did he say that civilians shouldn't have body armor? |

Where and when did he say that civilians shouldn't have body armor? He said "They don't sell to non-leo, nor should they." and went on to say "civilian sheepdogs have no use for things like that." I'm positive it's not the only opinion like that he holds, but everyone got so mad about it he contained his opinions more carefully. |

I have never heard him say that?? It's well documented all over the internet. The video was something about Diamond Back tactical. |

He talks about patrolling his neighborhood when the SHTF and stuff... In this video he has plates in his carrier.. Are you sure you're not thinking of something else? |

The video is now marked "private." It was nutnfancy, there were several threads about it here, and elsewhere. The reason it doesn't sound like him, is because when there is a backlash, he deletes videos and hopes time will erase the memory. But that one stuck out in my head because of how condescending he was about it. And he believes HE should have body armor, because he was military. He makes that very clear. ETA: Here is the video. I forgot I had saved it in my bookmarks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr921mgyEe0 he's made it private though. |
Kel Tec needs to stop using Philips head screws to hold their stuff together. It drives me nuts to see woodworking screws in plastic. That stuff needs to be hidden underneath recoil pads, not where folks look. The guns work, but those darn exposed Philips screws are just
Nutnfancy is just full of it...he is entertaining...sometimes. |

Ruger is known for outstanding quality while Kel-Tec is known for making guns that barely function. I can't speak for all Kel-Tec firearms but my P3AT has been 100% from day one. I pack it more than any other gun I own, It has NEVER FAILED TO GO BANG in six years. Yes it is ugly and cheap looking. A Ruger LCP is a copy of it with a nicer looking grip, put them side by side and you will see that. |

Heard of him through here before. Never seen any of hid vids. Just went and watched a few minutes, to get a feel for them.
His voice made want to poke out my ear drums. I would not be able to watch more a few seconds of anything he was talking in. I am currently self-loathing for putting myself through that. |

He's long winded, and at times boring.
But the guy gets out there waaayyy more than me, and has been exposed to all sorts of hardware, which is something I wouldn't mind doing. So can't criticize him for being active in a hobby that we all enjoy. There are others that offer more concise reviews.... Kel Tec? No experience with them, but they appear to be innovative. But if second guy (Ruger) comes along and improves on it and markets it better, whey not select that similar product over theirs. |
|
Hate him - No. Do I consider myself a "fan" - No. Grow tired of long winded review videos - Absolutely. Do I find his videos informative - Yes. The dude has a way of extruding what would otherwise be a 5 minute video into a two-part, hour and a half ramble. He can also be somewhat abrasive in the way he talks with people and he has a strange habit of referring to himself in the third person...in acronym form. That said, he often offer some insightful points and his videos have influenced a couple of my purchases. Every once in a while, when I want to see something about a piece of gear other than by flipping through hundreds of pages droll reviews, I'll check out his video on it. There's no way in hell I'd watch it through but I do skip around and get the gist of it. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't but every time I watch something of his, I'm exposed to a different point of view and for that I'm grateful. Furthermore, I'll be honest, I'm a little jealous of him. He gets paid to just film himself doing what he enjoys. One of these days, I hope I'm as fortunate to figure out how to create a wildly successful source of revenue like that. That's my $.02 |
i think the way he talks is annoying but i watch his vids sometimes. just watched his aimpoint vs scope video and instead of using a 1-5x he used a 3-9x... he shot a few targets at arms length point-shooting distance, and a pie plate at 200 yards. basically it was just a video of him wasting ammo disguised as a test/review, waste of time, of course the scope was the winner.
