With the crappy weather we're having up here I decided to do something productive and make a mount for my GoPro camera.
I had a couple unused scope mounts and 3/4" wide aluminum stock lying around and figured that would work well. I simply match drilled the scope mount holes in the aluminum, drilled and tapped a 1/4-20 hole for the tripod swivel mount bolt and put a bend in the aluminum with a vice to match the angle of the magpul moe handguard.

The swivel mount makes it real easy to setup the camera angles!

Talk about CHEAP!!!  Now for some decent weather to shoot a little video with it.

I bought one from a site sponsor for about $20

It works perfectly.

Thats pretty creative.

Not to ruin your hopes and dreams, rifle mounted video looks blah though, most times looking at something totally un-interesting like the sky or ground.

Here's all you need...
Scope Mount
Swivel Ball Mount
Aluminum Stock

and a hacksaw!
Just match drill the Aluminum to the scope mount and bend it to the appropriate angle in a vice.

Be sure, when you get to using it that you post garden variety shooting situations we've all done a thousand times, and put some obnoxious death metal behind it, and some flashy transitions from one dull scene to the next with fancy Comic Sans type announcing all of the very important details.

Just a pro-tip so you fit in.

I saw the Strikemark one but wanted one that I could point in any angle which was off to the side.

Sure I get that.

They make a cantilever one, but it doesn't rotate. The only problem with the rotating ones is it loosening up without you knowing it.

But I see the advantages of it.

I didn't mean to high jack your thread either.
