Don't even bother with that garbage. To learn or be a true gunsmith you either go to the Colorado School of Trades or some of the other ones that are like two years. They'll teach how to use a lathe and other stuff, skilled stuff. Besides that the other way is to apprentice under a known gunsmith. Without generalizing about most of the members here, it helps to read the build it yourself sections and when you decide to tinker with your own guns you acquire some experience.
