My brother-in-law is one of the best men I know. In just a few short months he will be taken from us. My sister is going to lose a wonderful husband, and two little boys are going to lose the best daddy I’ve ever seen. I don’t have it in me to talk about the details, but there is no treatment and no cure. Right now they are making sure that all affairs are in order and making as many memories as they can.
Everyone is devastated. I have never felt so helpless. I’ve been doing everything I can for them, for my parents, and for his mother. It just doesn’t seem like enough. This time it’s my turn to be the strong one for my family, and I have some great friends helping to hold me up. I have seen the power of prayer in action. I humbly ask that you add us to your list of prayers; that we may find peace, and for the strength and courage to go on. And please take some time to show your loved ones how much you care. We never know how much time we have. |
