In the last to weeks there have been at least three shootings that involved an attempted robbery of a CPL holder. In all three cases the shooting resulted in the death of a perpetrator. Keep it up Detroiters! 
I loved the news report of the last one at a 70+ year old neighborhood candy store. When they interviewed an elderly black woman on the street and asked her opinion, and she was all for shooting these assailants. |

ETA: after reading the stories and the reaction of neighbors, I'm amazed that the bad guys though it was smart to be robbers.

Stories like these warm my heart but I lol'd at momma's stupidity.
"When one of the suspected robbers reportedly pulled a gun, the coach allegedly fired back, fatally shooting 16-year-old Michael Scott and injuring the other person, according to MyFoxDetroit.com. Priscilla Scott, Michael's mother, told MyFoxDetroit.com that her son didn't own a gun. ". 
I noticed a number of the armed assailants are 16 and 17 years old. Interesting. How old was that sweet boy that was out getting skittles and tea? |

This can't be a surprise to anyone....
When the Detroit Police Department starts telling people that going to Detroit means taking your life into your own hands and telling residents to get their CPL's so they can defend themselves, it means ALL BETS ARE OFF ON YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY. People in Detroit are scared, and motivated to do something about it. I see more 'detroiters' in gun shops in a month now than I did in the past decade. Times are a' changin. |
