Exact opposite here. OVER packing. I ordered some filters for the vacuum cleaner. They could have been stuffed into envelopes but no, they used a 12x14x10 box, then filled it with packing paper. These filters could be dropped from the mid stratosphere and not break. |

Only issue I have ever had was on two occasions when ordering from one of the big boys, I also tossed in a few roll pins. Packages arrived, but for some reason the tape-boy was having a bad day and there was a partially open seam on the bottom of the box.
No biggie for 99.9% of the parts I order. Roll Pins...... long gone....... the roll pins, which are in those little plastic baggies were just tossed into the larger sized box. Actually, I think that has happened to me 3 times now. |

I don't really see the issue with #1. How would you prefer them to be packaged? Do you also complain about shipping and handling charges? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I would have preferred them in a box less likely to get crushed and damage the mags instead of a flimsy padded envelope. I have no problem with shipping and handling charges. Only an idiot would infer that from my post. I do expect to get what I paid for in new condition though but maybe you have low expectations and don't care about the stuff you buy. Package 1 sounds like my order from midway and package 2 sounds like my order from DSG. I had no issues with either one. But people will always find something to bitch about. PSA packs like no other, ordered 1 mag.... and the box was stuffed like some jerk's idea of a funny christmas present |

I ordered a few things from Midsouth recently....the box was packed so tight with some sort of hi-tech silver backed space-age paper that a spider would have had a hard time hitching a ride in the box....they even had all the edges, corners and seams taped up tight...nothing was getting in or out of that box. So some companies are still taking the time to do it right.

Maybe if they didn't spend time with the overly large boxes and used something more appropriate, they could ship stuff out more quickly. |

Are yall ordering collectors edition magazines to be displayed on the friggin mantle above your fireplace or something?
I hate to break this to the magazine premadonnas in here, but mags are DESIGNED to be beat up and abused. I eject them onto the concrete several dozen times per range trip. All of mine look like they've been dragged down a gravel road behind a truck. And for all i care, when i order them, the shipper could slap the shipping label to the side of the individual mags and send them to me one at a time. |

| Not my experience. Cabelas sent me a huge ball of packing tape, cardboard and paper with a nougat like center of 20rd boxes of ammo. It was so big and heavy I thought I drunk ordered a couple ammo cans or something. PSA sent my ammo wrapped up in cellophane like little bundles of heroin surrounded by layers of thick paper. I get the impression that the packing departments are making a game out of it or something. |

Can't just be happy you got your stuff? What good is getting stuff if it shows up damaged and replacements are likely to be months away? Was anything actually damaged? Seems like your rant might be a little.. premature. I don't know yet, but if these had been properly packaged I wouldn't have to spend the time to find out. Fair enough. |
