identify our enemies? We know they are Muslim Extremists. Is it possible to identify them before they commence an attack? Why has this subject been so sorely neglected by the powersthatbe? |

When there is a threat and or action against us, we can identify our enemies. When we learn of ill will to be inflicted by people towards our country we can identify our enemies. Is it possible to i.d. them before an attack? YES. We have. We knew Al Qeida was an enemy long before the attacks. We knew many different peoples were enemies prior to attacks. Why has it been neglected? Because the immasculization of America forbids us from showing any emotion that is less than understanding and compassion. Feeling anger or resolve to make a change through force is no longer allowed in this country. We are not allowed to i.d. certain enemies since it would hurt the feelings of some people. We, as a country, must never again hurt the feelings of any peoples in the world. |

Quoted: What about identifying them in an individual level, when we do not have the intelligence assets of the government? Um, maybe use your own "intelligence" and be vigilant and prepared and aware of your surroundings--and armed? If someone--anyone--points a gun at you, they are a "terrorist." Same with leaving unexpected "packages." [kill] |

I consider that an attack! I wanted to know if it was possible to find the enemy before they attacked. I am reckoning the answer is "no". [BD] BTW, everybody here knows NEVER touch a suspicious package? Certain detonators are pressure/vibration/orientation sensitive. If you pick them up, you will get blown up. If somebody leaves a package next to a high value target, how can it be moved without detonating it? |

I think one needs to use their gut instinct. If someone sees someone else as a potential threat they must not turn their head from it. They must look closer at the activity or action that has gained our attention. Ask questions to yourself. Do not hesitate to gently have the person in question show their hand through a less than ordinary comment, gesture or question. You could also just call the FBI/local police and have them swarm the situation like a pack of voracious flies on rotting meat. [:D] I have the feeling you are thinking of situation in particular that is making you wonder. |

to the identification question: In all other wars, we have had a way to identify enemies. Usually the way is by uniforms. I want to figure out who wants to kill me before they attack. I work in a building full of Muslims/Middle Easterners. How many of them are awaiting orders to start the killing? How many convenience store clerks are awaiting the order? Naturally, I do not delude myself with the easy answer of "all of them". I know that is not the truth. to the bomb question: I have been running through scenarios for the past year, and that is one I haven't yet found a real good answer to. You can clear the area and prevent death, given enough time and a specific warning of some origin, but you have also just lost a high value structure. |
