So I picked up a slingshot for tree rats.  I'm assuming I'm okay to shoot as many as I want on my property?

Also what is the difference between pest control and hunting?

Squirrels have a season and can't legally hunt any game in Ohio with a slingshot.

You will be most likely be breaking the law.

Edit:  Not that I'm judging you.

Hunting seasons for state game apply on private land too.

However, some animals are not considered game, they are pests or varmints and can be taken year round on private land (ie...FL yotes and hogs can be taken year round). Check your state regs.

out of season, bag limits, illegal method of taking them...

I have live oak trees with acorns, and lots of squirrels, but my 4 dogs kill them on the ground long before i get to shoot them.

Why all the squirrel hate?

Are they eating your crops or running around all diseased?
