This is a letter I composed and have sent to my State and Federal elected officials, Majority and minority Leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives and yes our Dictator in Chief Zero.

Please feel free to taylor it it your specific needs and email, snail mail to all your elected officials.

"As a citizen of Louisiana I would like it to be known that I am a firm
supporter of the Second Amendment of the Constitution of The United States
of America.

I believe The Second Amendment is first and foremost, the method by which
citizens can protect and defend their families, themselves, and their
property against government oppression and tyranny.  This was made
abundantly clear by the Founding Fathers, references to which can be found
throughout The Federalist Papers. Second it is the method by which the
average citizen can defend their family, selves and property against the
common criminal. Hunting would be the last right I would attribute to the
Second Amendment. Frosting on the cake, as it were.

I am against additional laws that would suppress or restrict by any means,
a lawful citizens ability and right to own or purchase whatever firearm
they believe necessary to secure their liberty, property and personal
safety, or the amount of or place of purchase of ammunition needed to
fulfill their security and/or training requirements.

I would to like to hear your thoughts and ideas on this subject. Please be
specific in your answers.  Include your opinions on back ground checks,
sales, registration, type of weapons you think need to be regulated
(semi-automatic, bolt action, etc.) magazine capacities and any cosmetic
features you might find objectionable.

There are those working now who would strip us of our God given rights to
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and the means to protect it.
By your silence or by your answer I will know where you stand on this
defining issue.

Thank you and I'll see you at the polls.

Sincerely,"
