Serious question, so keep the geefawing to a minimum, ya jacknuts...
I'm looking to see if there's a system in place to get an aggregate listing of contact information (nationwide) for Sheriff's offices, Representatives, etc. Could just a dump of raw data. My reasoning is that I'm tinkering with the idea of building a simple automation program to generate letters and emails to send out to folks who are supposed to represent us and enforce (Constitutionally sound) laws. Ideally, my system would be built such that each office would be emailed only once a week or so, and there'd be an option to generate a properly labeled envelopes and properly formatted and headed letters expressing our concern for our Constitutional rights and that NO FURTHER CHANGE is acceptable. No deals, no compromise, not one more inch. I think a calm, level-headed, concise letter sent out to folks en-masse would garner a lot more visibility and position reaction, even with being calm at a time like this being damn difficult. If this AWB dies, and I damn sure hope it does, I think this idea should STILL take off, because we need to put every nail we can in the coffin. I'm not talking just email and call your local reps. I'm talking about contacting -everyone in a representative position- and letting them know, through appropriate channels, that no further infringement on our rights (not our wants, not our needs, our RIGHTS) will be tolerated. With that, and mind you, this is still an idea (one I'd like to see come to fruition), does anyone know of any mass listings (in any kind of data format) that can be used? I dislike the idea of manually entering each address - but if that's what needs to be done, then so be it. ...just trying to think of clever(ish) ways to contribute to the fight using my skillsets beyond just email, snail mail, calling reps -- all manually. Let's automate. ALSO - the above idea is not intended to "spam." I'd build the system such that no more than once a week or so could the same place/person/etc. be contacted. NOW give me your real thoughts on this. What am I missing; are there legal issues here I need to consider? Not wanting to put any of us in a bad light, but hot damn, we need to take action and KEEP taking action. No more of this shit! |
