I wonder what the rate of fire is for musket reloading?

1.75 using my toes.

You must be skipping the step where you bang it on your helmet a few times.

Ever put yourself against a shot timer and do shot to shot time for a reload?

Dave Sevigny's reload in his record braking fast drill time was 1.4 sec with a G34. That's a static reload under practice from one of the best shooters in the world.

A rifle would be even slower.

I can do it in 0.87 seconds.......

I thought it was about how long it took ole plugs to shotgun a six-pack of Natty light.

He also said it takes inexperienced people 2 minutes.
Seriously? If it takes someone 2 minutes to change a mag they have obviously never even held a firearm before.

Yup.  1.75 would be a brisk reload.

That's probably where he gets most of his "facts", from movies.

We filmed Matt Burkett when I was with GunGames Magazine.  He drew from a relaxed, hands at rest position. First shot was at .534 seconds, reload was finished at 1.037 seconds and second shot was at 1.210 seconds. The first mag was still at knee level when the second shot was fired.

Draw... 2 shots and a mag change in 1.210 seconds...

Using a shot timer with a random start delay, starting from slide lock with a full firing grip, my best ever is 1.95

Ok . . .How long did it take Val Kilmer to do his famous mag change in the movie HEAT?

They are trying to validate the argument that "if you make a shooter have to reload, there is a better chance that someone can jump them".

They need to replay the testimony from Suzanna Hupp on the first AWB.  She can say she's been there, and it doesn't work.
