Hey guys. Need to ship a complete lower to an out of state FFL... What service do you personally use or have used in the past with good results? I tried to google it, but all I found was shipping for long guns or handguns... Not sure if a complete lower falls under a complete long gun category. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What I have done in the past is have the buyer mail/fax you a copy of his FFL of choice, place said copy of FFL in the box with your complete lower and take it to the post office to mail it. I'm pretty sure that only handguns have to be sent overnight and that you can just use regular shipping for a lower. |

The lower is serialized so unless it was purchased as a pistol, it's a long gun. You can use whatever carrier you prefer. USPS will even ship long guns*. I've always used FedEx or UPS, whomever was cheapest, insured with some sort of signature required. Make sure you have a copy of FFL in hand to whomever you're sending to. The place may want to see that.

That's the only thing that worries me with USPS.... Seems there are a lot more "missing packages" through them then Fed Ex or Ups... |
