Hey guys. I'm just wondering . . .
I'm new to the world of wireless routers/modems and I'm wondering if others have the same problems I do. See . . . it takes f o r e v e r f o r p a g e s t o l o a d . . . ! And it's REALLY bad when I try to post a comment or, reply to a thread. Certain sites are worse than others, but it seems to be a universal problem - in that, every site has the same issue, to one degree or another. It's all top-notch gear . . . Is this the price I pay for going wireless? I do refresh the router and the modem often, but I wouldn't think that's necessary - or, common. And whatever benefit that gives me is fleeting, anyway! I'm not surprised my wife's POS laptop has problems. But, I'm on my son's top of the line Mac laptop now and the problem is as bad as ever! Anybody? *I know it's technically a breach of opsec, but I'm disabled and sitting in a office/computer-chair just kills my back (even the super-expensive one I bought, hoping to tolerate it). I have curtailed my anti-gov't tirades - for the most part anyway! CC#'s and stuff still get inputted on the desktop 'puter, only. |

The short answer is no - if you have a modern router, a 10/100 internet card and a good internet connection, your computer should scream.
Go to SPEEDTEST.NET and test your connection speed. Your download speed ought to be close to your ISP's advertised speed. If not, your router might be bad. |
