The leftist media will not report this the way they should so....we need to. Those of you who are attending the rallies today, please take pictures and post them. Any pictures are fine--pictures of you preparing to go, pictures of your signs, pictures of you being there. Also, if you can, please get some shots of the size of the rally, so we can see how many people are participating.
Oh, here's a link to the sign prep post: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1423402_I_ve_never_demonstrated_before__Need_some_ideas_for_pro_2nd_Amendment_signs_for_Saturday_.html The OFFICIAL who's going thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1422210_THE_OFFICAL_I_M_FOING_TO_THE_2ND_AMENDMENT_RALLY_IN_MY_STATE_THIS_SATURDAY_THREAD____.html The other who's going thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1425439_So_who_s_hitting_a_gun_rally_in_their_state_capital_tomorrow_.html Thanks. |
| Who is organizing this? It doesn't seem to be very well organized so I don't think the turnout is going to be very impressive which will give a false sense of support. This also coincides with other national events i.e. National Service Day. Something like this needs to be coordinated and I haven't seen anything to give me that impression. I agree with you, the national media is not going to report whatever happens today unless it relates to violence. |
|
Apparently "Guns Across America" is one of the organizing groups.

I'll post some pics later. We had two rallies going on in WV today.
The one at the Capitol building had about 250-300 people by my best estimation, with people coming and going the whole time. We even had a few state delegates get out front and give speeches. I thought it was a pretty good showing. My sister texted me a pic from Richmond and just happened to drive by a big 2A march. She said there were a lot of people. |

A quick video, taken in Madison, WI. I'd estimate the crowd, in total, to be around a thousand. Not a huge turnout, but not bad at all for basically a "word of mouth" demonstration.

The one in oklahoma City was VERY good. Speakers discussed not only the second amendment but the bill of Rights and constitution as a whole. Speakers included state reps, senators, veterans, and law enforcement. There were about 2000 warm bodies at the peak and people were coming and going so a lot more were there at some point individually. Our state is supporting the Constitution as it is written and as the founders intended and is rejecting big brother as federal powers are enumerated and shall not extend further. Law enforcement speaker spoke about a very small minority of cops willing to enforce but the vast majority are "will not comply" types. This is a renewed start to a massive movement to get the power back to states and the people and to burn down unjust, unconstitutional laws on an unprecedented scale. Keep it alive folks!
(sorry phone was dead no pics yet but should be some on newsok.com soon) |

Wow, You probably add up the people that showed up in all 50 states you might have a crowd of 40,000. What did you do today to support the 2nd Amendment shit talker? I was at my state rally with other arfcommers. Went to the one in AZ for fifteen minutes. probably 200 people at most at one time. |

Damn it! I just got back from SHOT, and missed the one in Vermonts capital... Hopefully there is more to come. I heard that there is to be another one (a repeat) in February. Check with guns across America's facebook. We should all go again and bring friends who are tired of uncle Sam and his bullshit, gun-owner or not. These rallies aren't about guns, they're about freedom, liberty, and justice. They are about upholding our forefathers' intent and the supreme law of the land. |

How many people to you figure we had there? I was standing behind the podium and was very impressed by the turn out. |
| Post your pics if you've got them folks! Keep bumping this thread so pics end up together! If we spend half the time pushing this movement as we do hunting ammo and lowers, we may yet prevent their use! Spread the word. Talk to one person every day. I talked to four total strangers today getting ready to go to my state rally. Half were already on board one didn't like guns but didn't like the feds saying we can't have them and one decided to buy his first gun today at walmart while I was waiting on my poster to print. Talked him up in the electronics section. He came to get a 55" tv to replace his 50", and left with a brand new tactical shotgun instead. And bump. |
