From what I can tell, this basically knowingly stole a bunch of academic papers with the intent of giving them away for free as a political statement, got busted, got charged by the feds, and then killed himself.
Facebook and Google+ seem to be lighting up treating this guy as a hero, but it sure sounds like he was just a spineless, "information wants to be free" commie who offed himself as soon as he was confronted with the potential consequences of his actions. Am I missing something? |
