Just to let everyone know. My account was frozen after being reviewed by PayPal because I received money from a member here after selling 4 PMAGs to the member. There policy doesn't allow members to receive payment for firearms or high capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds). Had to agree to there policy to get my account unlocked and now I will cancel it. I respect there right to limit certain kinds of transactions, but I have the right to not use them, so they can miss out on the transaction fees from me.
When I called them earlier this afternoon, I asked if they had just made a policy change, the gentleman I spoke with (before saying anything else) said "this doesn't have anything to do with current events". I asked him how long the policy had stated this and he said "I can't remember exactly, but I believe 5 years". I feel gun owners need to limit what they spend with companies that feel they need to show their stance on gun control by limiting transactions or whatever else they do (Bank of America comes to mind). If anyone has questions feel free to ask. Not on here much so may be a few days to respond. |

Happened to me too.
Had to sign some statement saying I understood their policy and I wouldn't violate it in the future. Dude I talked to on the phone seemed like they were dealing with A LOT of these cases. As soon as my money is in my account, and withdrawn, I will be closing my account with Paypal. |

Yup, BTDT. I had a paypal account for 8 years, and accepted funds for gun stuff by being discreet and not mentioning anything. Well one day I sold some ammo to an ARFcommer and he paid through paypal, labeled it "100RDS HORNADAY 168GR TAP AMMO FROM AR15.COM"
Needless to say my account was locked but I did get every penny out of it, I started a new account a while back and so far so good

You ever wonder why members on the EE selling stuff post they accept "discret" paypal payment? Now you know. Paypal has not been gun friendly for many,many years. Nothing new there. I always make sure if I sell gun related items that I move the money over to my bank account asap...in case those sneaky paypal punks find out, they have nothing to freeze.
