seem complex.  I'll just continue to buy my full auto AK's south of the border from ATF agents.   That makes it legit right?

Good. Give them access to every criminal database possible. Every state in the union. Every police agency. As many international ones as will let us.

Is there any way to figure out why I keep getting NICS delayed?? The only thing I have on my record is minor in possesion of alcohol... I don't think that would do it. It pisses me off. EVERY damn time!

I know I can apply for one of those transaction number deals, but I shouldn't HAVE to.

I don't understand why the same system is not used for NFA purchases as well since the NICS check searches State & Federal criminal databases as well as State and Local firearms laws.  Seems to me there is no logical explanation why NFA approval takes an average of 6 months to process.

Can anyone show how a person who can pass NICS and lives in a NFA friendly location could be denied an NFA item?

I've done it and got a UPIN.  It doesn't take any real time other than waiting for a response and your number. I

No kidding.

When I bought my M16A1 in November 2003, and APPROVED in March 2004, The Very Last Thing my SOT did before taking my money was go through the NICS.  That would have been interesting: Transfer gets Approved but get hung up on NICS.

Move to a state where a CHL replaces NICS
