Having what is considered a "firearms license", that is actually a piece of paper you carry with you, and lasts 6 years, I believe the NICS system to be much more modern and quick. But I was wondering, how long did it take and what kind of effort did it take to set up all the network that makes for the NICS? Computers, databases, telephone lines.. how does it work? |
