Hurt knee

[#3]
Since he knee just folded sideways, I think this season is over
1/6/2013 3:10:46 PM EDT
[#4]
I won't be surprized if they say he blew his acl on that last play.

1/6/2013 3:10:47 PM EDT
[#5]
yep this games over
1/6/2013 3:10:51 PM EDT

He's done.

I just winced watching that...not cool.  Poor coaching.

Yeah, there goes his MCL.

Another Redskin quarterback with his leg bending the wrong direction. I still can picture the first one. They just kept showing it again and again.
1/6/2013 3:11:48 PM EDT
[#10]
That looked like it hurt!
1/6/2013 3:12:29 PM EDT

Game is over with now.  I think Cousins could have saved the game for us but that turnover killed them.
1/6/2013 3:13:20 PM EDT
[#12]

I really hope he didn't just tear something.  As a cowboys fan I put my general hate of the redskins aside to cheer for him just based on his character.

Meh he walked off. But that could be due to the cortisone.

Boy that knee looked like it went the wrong way there
1/6/2013 3:14:22 PM EDT
[#15]
It was an assinine move putting him in to play with a bum knee like that. The back up QB did a good job. This is the playoffs, you need to take out all the stops but at the cost of the game and season? Tough decision but I think I would have kept the back up as a starter and kept RG III as the back up, or even pinch QB.
1/6/2013 3:14:31 PM EDT
[#16]
Strap it up and send him back in there!

(is what Shanahan will do..)
1/6/2013 3:14:51 PM EDT
[#17]
He should have came out in the first half when he first aggravated it.

The shitty field conditions in FedEx Field don't help any either.

[#18]
this running QB thing scares the hell out of me......this kid down at A&M is setting the world on fire but I just don't know how you can do it in the NFL....
1/6/2013 3:17:00 PM EDT
[#19]
When he ran it for the first down the series before that I was thinking they should pull him.

I love his passion, but he can't keep playing like he's invincible.

1/6/2013 3:17:00 PM EDT

He hasn't even 'been' and he's already a has been.
1/6/2013 3:17:20 PM EDT

It looks like RG3 will have all of the off-season to heal. I think the Seahawks will take this game.

While I want the Seahawks to roll on through DC, I didn't want it to happen on RGIII's knee. Shanahan is a dolt.

Like the guy and great player...just not built to do that on the NFL level.

Reason Cam will last longer than him or Wilson...6'6 250lb guy can take hits.

I wouldn't be surprised if he blew it or partially did it in back when it was "sprained" and he just did the rest of it.

i was just thinking the same thing - his offensive line is terrible and does a bad job protecting him.

they need better receivers and running backs too.

Fucking stupid move on Shanahan's part keeping him in with the bum knee. His mobility is what makes him special, so asking him to play like a traditional pocket passer (especially against the Seattle pass rush) was just a dumb move. Shanahan should have played Cousins rather than let the face (and the future) of the franchise risk suffering from an injury that could have serious long-term consequences.

Wilson has taken more hits than just about any QB out their. And has proven he isn't afraid to block or run the ball when he needs to. Arguement invalid

I like RGIII but the coach had to pull him. It's no playing next week if you lose. You lose you're done. See if Cousins can hang the W and then evaluate RGIII for next week.

Much smarter than Vick.  RGIII will adapt.  Maybe a little less option and more pocket next year, especially with as well as Morris has done at RB.

Brees is how big?  6' and 210ish......he seems to be fine.

Seattle: 33 x sacked, Wash: 33, Car: 36

Sadly...Cam's taken a lot of hits.

We'll see. Still take the DE sized guy over the 5'11 200lber.

I agree.

Given how OBVIOUSLY his knee was hurting, and he was unable to run at all and has trouble making accurate passes, it was completely insane to put him in during the second half.

They should have put Cousins in from the very start of the 2nd half.  Not only was it irresponsible to keep RGIII in, it was incredibly stupid, if they wanted to have a chance at actually winning the game.

He needs to be a little smarter regarding injuries. Otherwise he will become another Michael Vick.

Hence the less option/scrabble, more pocket passing suggestion.
