Haven't seen the movie yet, but just finished the first book. To be honest, it was kinda crappy. Well, mostly crappy is really what it was. Are the other books better? Haven't read the books, just saw the movie. I found it to be one of the most technically accurate movies I've ever seen. Of course, I wouldn't know anything about technical accuracy, so.....

Read some of the books. Cant see diminutive Tom Cruise as the 6' 5" 250lb character. My GF's father has read all of the books and he's pissed off to the high heavens over them casting Tom Cruise as the lead. Evidently, JR is supposed to be a big, bad and mean mother humper and TC is not. Chris |

Seen it last night, one of the best movies we have seen in a long time.No sparking bullets,no gasoline bombs,I did not see anything obviously computer generated.I don't like Tom Cruise and I went with a preconceived notion that, that wimpy, little pretty boy would ruin the whole movie, not the case! And oh,yeah a lot of pov m-14,m1a action. |

I saw it and liked it a lot. Never read the books. I liked all of the comedy. Great lines.
Reacher: "I can't afford you." Girl: "I"m not a hooker." Reacher: "Then I definitely can't afford you." Coincidentally for all those hating on the movie, it was directed by Christopher McQuarrie; aka the writer and director of Way of the Gun... the movie ar15 wants to have babies with. |
