There is a new site up for anyone who wants to discuss firearms as they related to the State of Michigan, in particular the CCW law. They have the largest collection of smilies that I have ever seen. You got that right. I used to be the webmaster for that site but resigned becuase the BOD was treating all the volunteers like crap. The old group used to work with everyone, even if they weren't members. Now it's required to be a member and post your full name whenever you send an email or post on their site or they treat you like crap. Don't even try to question their actions, your posts will be deleted and they will lockout your account. Since they took over, there hasn't been one single event put on by the organization. Hell, they didn't even remind their members to vote in the primary! |
| They lost me as a member when they opted to support the decision to set up with the Pink Pistols at the Pride Celebration. I could care less if gays want to have guns but MCRGO's presense at the "celebration" gave the appearance of support to that disgusting event. Lumpy, About a month before the Pink Pistol event, I warned the Board of Directors that there was no guidelines for what a chapter could or couldn't do. The Chairman of the Board (now President) told everyone that he didn't care what the Chapters did (part of his I don't want to do any work policy) and I kid you not he said if they want to elect a Taliban as a chapter officer that is fine by him! I'm not sure how he thinks the organization is going to function well when you have 83 chapters doing different things with no guidelines at all. |

Ya know........ It is really sad to see an organization that has accomplished as much as MCRGO has, appear to be starting to lose ground. Some of the things I have seen happening lately just don't look good. Thanks for the MiGuntalk link, I will be checking it out. |
