| Went online to sportsmans guide and chepaer than dirt, 99% of the .223 / 5.56 ammo is sold out and or on backorder. WTF |
|
Huh? It's in stock up the ass here: It ain't cheap (which is why it's in stock), but it's still available if you NEED it like right now.

I was 15 in 2004....bah! I also see AIM surplus is out of C-Products aluminum mags again, and "CheaperThanDirt" (not really) now has Beretta 92 Magazines at $29.99 each. I bought some at $19.99 each about a month and a half ago, I wish I bought more! I was hoping to get a better deal....whoops. |

You are stocking up now? You had since 2004! I have what I need, but I feel bad for new shooters or people who have been away from CONUS for a while. Before I went into the Corps, I shot up all my stash.... Why? Because there seemed like there was no tomorrow. I was going to war and I couldn't see life AFTER the USMC.
I wish I could get all those round back out of the berms... |

I wish I could get all those round back out of the berms... You think that's bad? I was a saw gunner in the army and when we would go to a range they would say we aren't going back in til all of this ammo is shot up. I don't know how many belts of 5.56 I dumped in the woodline let alone everyone else that wanted to go back to the barracks and get out of the rain and cold. |

I've shot more then my share of ARs, but untill I recently finished building my own I never had a reason to stock up on 5.56/.223. I got a shit ton of 9mm though, so I guess it's not all bad. Next gun show 'round these parts isn't till January, and I already know that if its not all sold by the time I get there....I will be paying out the ass for it. |

ammoman still has lots. Not in 223. They have tracers some match and do have one M855 (no M193) the very nice Danish ammo (AMA) This tragedy may cause a panic worse then the election one (which was more of an slight moan) We shall see but let's try not to flame it Wulfmann |

Academy in Fort Smith has limited 223 and 5.56 ammo available. No 30 round magazines available though. First time I have seen that. Hey! Quit telling everybody that! Ha ha! OP was sorely mistaken folks. Move along, no need to EVER come to Fort Smith. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

This is not a new occurrence.

The best place to go is gunbroker.com the people who are selling there have it on hand and in stock. I was going to buy a few thousand more after the new year but with all the panic buying there probably wont be any left. I was going to do the same with mags, wait until the new year. |

I don't understand why everybody is buying up ammo. As far as I know, no one is beating the "ban ammo" war drums. I would be buying magazine or some of those high capacity "clips". Potential for ammo tax an ban on internet sales? Thats what I think |
