Short coupled and draggy. Should really present well but could be a handful. Wonder if he's putting a gyro on the rudder?
Here's about as big as I go nowdays, in the past I have built and flown up to 42%.
This one was an 80" kit that I upscaled the plans to 94" and am scratch building.
If anyone lives in SC or near there there's a huge giant scale fly in every summer called the Joe Nall fly in. A full week of nothing but giant scale flying from dawn to dusk and after dark as well with some glow sticks attached to planes. Normally have a full scale airshow as well. Also has a lake/pond to fly float planes off of. I highly recommend it, but you have to join the AMA to attend (available on site). I've been twice and it was well worth the 12 hour drive.

Bill Hempel sells a variety of giant scale ARF's. How about a 65% triplane?

Regardless of him building and flying a large piece of shit,  he's right,  that things flying abilities blow.  It would make a nice ceiling hanger though.

When I learned to fly RC ( early 80's )   there was no such thing as a simulator,   you built it out of balsa,  covered it with monokote,  crashed it,  rebuild, crash over and over.  by about your third plane or so they would live till you got tired of them.

It's so easy now days,  last couple of planes I have bought you just installed the gear, balanced it up and go fly the shit out of them.  It's always fun finding the design limits of a 2500$ hollow moulded carbon glider in the DS circle.

Never played with sims,  still better than most.  Represented the USA at the Viking Race in Portugal in 2000 ( F3F ) and had fastest time of the week.

I inherited a half built Morrisey and finished it. Beefed up the tail a little and put a ZDZ 40 on it.

I have to say for a "sport/scale plane" it really flew well. It was probably one of the best planes I have ever flow for doing inverted flat spins outside of something like a foamy or profile plane. If you see a kit for them nowdays they are nearly astronomical in price, but it was a great plane.

On the subject of clubs...if you live in a larger population area clubs will usually self segregate to get like flyers together which really helps. I flew competitive pattern for a while and you really want to be in a "pattern club" if you do. Shop around and see what shakes out in the club department.
