I'm not wrapped around the axle on this, but...

Does anyone else find it irritating when someone puts something in the Equipment Exchange area, you send a PM, even post on their thread, and get no response.  I have had this happen a couple of times.

I understand if you are too busy or don't like corresponding with technology, just don't list your stuff if you feel that way.

Here is what I hate: "PayPal only $xx.xx plus 4%."

WTF!!! Figure the 4% up yourself and just post the damn price you want.

Send them a PM and ask them to do so.  I've done it before.

Maybe I'm just a stickler, but as soon as I receive payment as a seller, or receive the item(s) as a buyer, I leave feedback as soon as I can.

I will admit to occasionally not responding to an IM about one of my EE items... but it is usually because the person is low-balling me beyond my ability to not sass talk them. I figure no answer is better than a rude answer in those cases. Otherwise I try to answer everyone as I can.

Serious question. For arguments sake, If I'm not totally happy with the result of our deal, but not totally pissed, would you rather have negative feedback or no feedback?

Makes sense to me.  I get a kick out of the "$X.XX + actual shipping", when it's for small items.  Just tack on a few bucks to your asking price.  You're not dealing with high weight items that the shipping is going to vary greatly depending on where you're shipping it.

I would like you to at least say "Hey powerkicker, the "x" you sold me did not thrill me because of "y". What are your thoughts on that?"  We could go from there. I want folks happy when I make a deal. They typically are.

This. People low balling me like they were some pawnshop owner in las vegas usually get ignored, and that is probably for the best.

I had that happen awhile back...something I had been looking for for quite awhile..no haggling just sent an I'll take it. Never heard back. Seller was the first person to make my ignore list here.

Very valid point.  I also like the idea that it is usually better to be silent than rude, or in a pissing contest.  I'm too old to waste too much time and energy on that stuff.

In my case it is on a "for sale locally only" item and I want to get together and get this done (or at least give a look) before I pick up my kid in college Monday.  I drive by a huge sporting goods store on the way down and if I can't get some info before then I'm spending $$$ in Richmond.
