My mother wants a dedicated concealed carry purse for Christmas.

I know they are not the best option but this is how she is willing to carry.

She carries a little j-frame Smith.  Her choice in pistol, she shoots it well.

Does anyone have any recommendations on these?

I have a list that I give to my female students, let me see if I can find it.

Check out Galco...I like their holsters and leatherwork, but have no family experience with their purses.

Gun Tote'n Mamas is a decent brand.

Concealed Carrie, a little more chic than some of the others.  And not quite as pricey as Galco.

Has she tried carrying the gun in a normal purse and doesn't like it?

The problem with women and CCW purses is, women are super picky about their purses.  What they look like and how they are constructed inside (pockets and shit.)  According to my wife, all the CCW purses look like ass.

Someone needs to come up with an easy purse mod that fastens a holster inside nearly any purse, rather than try to design a few purses that will appeal to a broad array of women.

She is currently carrying in a regular purse but has decided to upgrade to one with a dedicated holster pocket.

On the upside my mother is not super picky on the looks of purse.  I have stumbled accross a comple carry purses that look similar to her current purse but have no idea if they are a quality item or not.

She is picky enough to not want a Maxpedition fatboy unfortunately.

ok.    I always tell women who ask me that they should try the gun out in their regular purse first, to get an idea of what they want, if they really do want a CCW purse.
