| I live in Nebraska and would like to get my carry concealed permit. My question is how hard the permit to get in Nebraska? I've been through the website and have already taken a NRA approved class, the problem was it was for Iowa. I live on the board with Iowa and no one teaches the class in my area. Is this going to be a problem? |

8 hour class from any number of available instructors. Call any gun shop and they will refer their favorite.
Demonstrate you can hit paper from 10 feet. Pay $5 for a fingerprint card from your sheriff. Background check and sign off from your sheriff. Pay the fee to the State Patrol. Wait Wait Wait some more Recieve permit Post endless comments about what holster, printing, nervousness about carrying at the grocery store. Post at least once about a near draw down After about a year it is second nature, nobody notices that you carry a gun....ever, actually start practicing enough to be half way competent. Easy. |

| I live in South Sioux City. I talked to one guy who can do the class but he has proven very unreliable. Called me last time Friday night at 8:00 pm for a class at 8:00 am on Saturday. I work weekends so I need more notice than that. The one for Iowa I got was by a NRA certified instructor, it didn't cost much so no big deal if it doesn't work. Wish it did, would save me a lot of time. I am a good marksman with a handgun so no worries about that. |
