70's era rotten ass ammo........... check FUD rifle cases............check $425.00
a fool and his money are soon departed What's wrong with that ammo? As long as it's not corroded it'll still shoot. People are paying big money for "70s era rotten ass ammo" because it has 7.62 and a circle with a plus on the headstamp. In fact, I have some myself and it shoots fine. And not everyone carries their guns around in an uber awesome waterproof nomex fireproof floating tactical tier one assault battle case with MOLLE loops on the shoulder strap and 87 mag pouches either. |

I think the gun cases are practically worthless unless you already plan on spending your days at the swap meet (or to sell them for $5 each and eat shipping).
The ammo would probably have decent value if you were going to shoot it someday - but buying a bunch of oddball calibers that require a $20 hazmat fee to ship is probably not going to be a good investment (unless you have that spot at the local swap meet reserved). IMHO, you paid too much if you actually plan t try to sell any of it. If you bought it all for personal consumption, then it's probably fair - not great, but fair. |

The 30.06, .308, .243, & .45 Colt ammo is at least $15.00 a box. Looks to me there's $250 to $300 dollars worth just in those calibers. Don't let the geniuses get to you. I've shot lots of surplus ammo way older than 1970's era and it shot just fine. At $450....it's close to a push. ETA: I spaced the mags. You got a deal.

| I see four boxes of 38-40 ammo. If you have something to shoot it in or can sell it at near retail you probably have well over $100 covered in those four boxes. It has been about 20 years since I fired my Winchester 73 Musket but even back then the ammo was about $30.box and hard to come by. If you can use or sell the ammo and mags you probably did fine |
| If those 180gr power point 30/06 shells are round nose, I WANT THEM! Ive got a 7400 that LOVES that load and they dont make the ammo anymore. Its the only centerfire besides my AR that I dont load ammo for because the factory stuff shoots better than I can shoot it! |

a fool and his money are soon departed Look at all those m1 carbine mags, at $18 each I paid for the mags and got everything else for free. I actually needed those cases, I've got way to many guns and no enough cases. I've been buying 2 a week for some time now and Im no where near done. And this myfriend is how I keep buying machineguns and drive a BMW on a $8 a hour job |
