I just upgraded from a Droid X to a Samsung Note 2 on VZW. With my Droid X I could hit the voice dial key and say such things as "Call Home Depot" or "Call Home Depot in Tampa Florida". I would not have to do anything else and it would locate either the nearest home depot and call it or the nearest one to where I told it... i.e. Tampa Florida.
My new Note first searches the contacts and pops up a message saying it could not find the name in the contacts, then pops up a message about searching the web. The problem is, it won't automatically call the one from the web, I have to scroll down and click that... I use the phone a lot when driving, so this is not good to do. How do I get the phone to automatically call the number it found on the web? Please note, it is understanding me...the search works, it just is not doing what I want it to do. I have downloaded Jeannie and Eva and both seem to function the same way, as does the S Voice app. Appreciate the help! |
