I'm really getting sick of listening to this fucking douchenozzle.  Someone needs to get this information to him so he can set an example by giving all of his money to the government.  Then I suppose I will be interested in his opinions on taxation.

I'm sure he has some tax shelter set up to avoid whatever he's proposing.

He takes a salary of $100,000 a year even though someone in his position would probably command and do 30-50 million a year.

He's never sold his house.

He does his own taxes.

He buys stock and holds it forever.

Of 300 million Americans he's the only one who does this.  Let's design a tax code around him.

Doesn't he owe back taxes to begin with?

He gets a salary and dividend income.  All his worth is from appreciated stock in Bershire Hathaway.

Also he's indicated that he wants to donate his fortune to charity.  If he does this he doesn't need to pay capital gains on it since appreciated assets donated you don't pay taxes on.  Also the charity takes the basis at the fair market value at the date of the gift so they won't pay capital gains either.

The appreciated stock donation is about the slickest deduction ever.

I have great respect for Buffett's ability as an investor.  I have absolutely no respect for his statements on taxation.

For example, he claims that he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary, ( who allegedly makes a 6 figure income).   Adjust his tax rate, which is capital gains, for inflation, and see how it compares to his secretary.

Let's not forget to factor in her 401k.  Surely she has one?

Now, if I am smart enough to figure this out, I am sure Warren understands it too.  But, he says the opposite, doesn't he?  Ask yourself why that is.

His Berkshire Hathaway owes taxes going back TEN YEARS.

Which is why he should STFU about what other people should owe. Damn phony.

If it wasn't for a liberal media this would be mentioned every time he opens his mouth. Of course that media wants higher taxes and wouldn't dream of spilling the beans on old warren.

He also loves the estate death tax because it forces family businesses to be sold to people like him in a hurry (and hence frequently at a discounted price). (And of course we need less family businesses and more huge conglomerates.)
