It's not Chrome. You have malware. huh
OP can you post a screen shot of this? does it do this in every browser? Firefox doesnt work anymore so I dont know about that one. I ran the malwarebytes program and it seems to have stopped for the moment. For example in the EU car insurance thread, someone had car insurance typed and it was highlighted in red , run the mouse over it and it was a fucking ad for where to buy car insurance. |

disable plugins
check that page for anything unusual. or disable them all and see if it solves the issue. then turn on as needed either way. ccleaner, malwarebytes, and superantispyware portable edition are all good programs to try to scan with. |

1 Control Panel 2 Uninstall a program 3 Right click on Google Chrome 4 Hit uninstall 5 Wait till the trash is removed 6 Install Firefox I have Firefox, and after the latest adobe flash player update it doesnt work for shit , hence why Im using chrome. There never was a program or plug in called text-enhance to delete , so I got rid of the two plugins I had from chrome, and it seems to have taken care of the problem ......for now |

I had this going on last week only mine highlighted in blue. That had instructions on how to get rid of it. Mine was a program called yonto or something like that. Just had to uninstall it. This was the problem I had. Uninstalled yonto, and it stopped |

been in IT for 10+ years and I use Opera alot but currently using IE inprivate mode
never had malware, never had highlighted url in posts. Firefox to me is junk, anything that comes out with a new version every few weeks = crap i only use chrome because its on my nexus 7 for those that get infected frequently i would highly suggest purchasing malwarebytes pro |

Quoted: I really love Firefox, but I fucking hate Chrome. This is a dilemma, because I think Google has sabotaged Youtube to be basically incompatible with Firefox. I have no problems with Firefox and Youtube. I do get some video crashes on other sites with Firefox (actually I'm using Waterfox but you know what I mean). ![]() |

I think Waterfox is the cure. It has been recommended to me before but I haven't gotten my ass in gear to download it yet. Besides, I just re-downloaded Fallout NV and have more important things to do.

I swear some times, Arfcom is the worst place for repair advice. This guy's got it though! Malwarebytes WON'T pick this one up, so you'll have to disable ALL of your extensions for Chrome. Once that's done re-enable them ONE AT A TIME and see where the problem crops up again. When you find the offending extension, remove it for good. The extension that did it to me was FBPHOTOZOOM or some such thing but this process worked for me when I had the exact same problem. |

If you scroll down a little way there is a section for Chrome extensions.
Hope this helps. http://botcrawl.com/how-to-remove-text-enhance/ |

Hope this helps. http://botcrawl.com/how-to-remove-text-enhance/ I finally got it, although NONE of the extensions I deleted SAID they were the text enhance, when I got rid of them , it went away. And the how-to from the text-enhance website was full of shit. |
| I just had the same problem. It was just an extension installed on Chrome called "Coupon"-something. Just got a new computer and it came with Chrome installed and the extension installed. I usually prefer FF, but it's been a little flaky since getting this new laptop. |
