So I been Conceal carrying for about 4 years now... And I am not happy with any method of carry. I used to carry my XDM in a back wastband holster and every time I bent over my gun pops out. Then I bought a LCP and pocket holster. I hated that gun and felt it was a poor carry option. so I sold it. Now I got an XDs and love the gun. I can only carry up front. If I carry on the side it prints so bad everyone can see it. I where polos and button up shirts. Am I missing something with carrying? I even have a Ares ranger belt and it does not help at all.

Some thin framed people(myself included) have a very hard time carrying certain pistols in certain spots because our frame just doesn't help conceal the pistol. You either have to adjust your dress to work with it, or find a pistol/holster combination that works.

Some people just carry in a backpack or small bag that is easily accessible while carrying.

I appendix carry a full size pistol in the fall/winter/spring. In the summer I tend to carry a Sig p238.

Don't know what to tell you, OP. I carry a G23 with X300 in a Blade-Tech IWB all the time without issue. I am waiting for a new holster from American Renegade Carry Systems, and I anticipate no problems with that one, either.

Need more details.  You said you tried on your side and it prints.

IWB, OWB?  Did you go a size up in your shirts or are you trying to wear what you always have?

What's your height, weight, body type?

Yes, yes it is.  A quality carry belt and quality holster is very important.

I have been carrying for close to 30 years and have not found a comfortable way to carry a pistol.
Your going to hear guys on here saying use this holster and that holster and it's the best, well I have tried a bunch through the years and they all suck.

It's if you really want to carry and you should ,it's called learn to live with it never feeling right and do the best you can .Some guys might have different body styles and makes it easier to carry,I don't and never have.

The most comfortable way for me is a Kahr PM 9 in a Don Hume pocket holster,at least it's a 9mm instead of a 380.And the guys that don't care if the gun prints ,it's mostly because they live in open carry states,I don't.

Edit- - Dude really ?, a fucking Uncle Mike's ,a fucking paper bag is better then that POS. I'm talking about quality holsters not working for me and thinking you have tried all the best and never found anything that worked well. Four years of toting a pistol in a Uncle Mikes IWB holster I would have gave up after the first week.

IWB holster with butt forward cant. Wear it behind the hip (3:30 or 4 o'clock) not on the hip (3 o'clock).

Get a more rigid holster, and belt. Try a King tuk or supertuck. Nylon is a bad choice imho.

I have been carrying for about five years, and I have always been able to do so comfortably. You're doing something wrong.

Im 5'8" 145 pounds. I appendix carry an XD9. an XDs will be my next purchase, but i carry my XD9 all day everyday in all weather conditions.

For appendix carry you really need to have a quality holster, and then that quality holster has to be comfortable for you. Not all quality holsters designed for AIWB will be comfortable for AIWB for every person.

Get a good holster. I like my Archangel.

Generally its the thickness of the pistol, and the length of the grip that cause printing, BUT, a bad holster belt combo that doesn't keep the pistol snug to the body will also cause printing problems. The ares gear is a great belt. The best IMO, but you cant combine that with an unclemikes and expect a good system.

ETA: its also dangerous to AIWB with shity holsters. Good way to lose a testicle or bleed out from your femoral artery. Also dark clothing will help conceal better. Another thing to mention is most will feel they are printing when they look down if they are carrying AIWB, but in reality, your really not printing like you would believe while looking down. No one will notice but you. When i switched to AIWB, i as worried about printing, but noone noticed, not even my wife.

Bingo.  You might like the Crossbreed Supertuck or MTAC Minotaur.  I have Crossbreeds for my XD-SC and P3AT.  I think I may try the MTAC for the 1911 for a change to see if I like it more. The Comp-Tac may not have as long a wait once you order.

Get a Comp-Tac Minotaur, wear it at 3:30-4:00. Get a good Comp-Tac or Ares Ranger belt. Problem solved.

I'm 5'8" 150 lbs and regularly conceal a Glock 19 in t-shirts without printing. In very tight clothes I carry a Glock 26 without concealing at all.

If I feel like it sometimes I'll conceal my Glock 17 in a looser but not large t-shirt no problem.

Definitely get a proper holster! With a good IWB I can't imagine an XDs printing on even the skinniest person. Hell I carry either an XD 45 Service model or my XDm9 full size in a Crossbreed Supertuck and they disappear.

That is why RCS has had wait times in excess of 4 months, but nowadays you can pick one up faster with the quick-ship products. I carry a Glock 21 with a TLR-1S and I'm 5'11 195. I'm not thin by any stretch of the imagination, so I feel for you skinnies. Buy a smaller gun, he he.

Try a hybrid holster... Theis, Comptac, etc. They're actually a great style, that works very well. Think:  Thin, adjustable, and what type of belt clips you want.

Keep your Aries belt.
