Dan Wesson Valor. First new 1911 in years (last was a Colt Combat Commander). Began looking for a SA Loaded model and gradually progressed to this. The wet spots are from the still drying BreakFree. Tool steel internals. No MIM parts!

| Dan Wessons are a fine firearm. I think the best balance of refinement to cost. Yes, Nighthawk, Ed B, and others have similar guns that cost MUCH more, but I feel that their improvments over DW are not always worth the expenditure, unless you simply want the absolute pinnacle of 1911. eg. Nissan GT-r or Corvette Z06 vs. Ferrari / Aston Martin. |
