If it's for a gas, NA vehicle - waste of money IMHO.

Diesels = win

Gassers = fail

One can't marginally improve performance or fuel savings in a gas vehicle? Even an 8.1l?

I want to know how the diesel ones work. Everybody says that everbody else's suck and will blow up your motor, but won't tell you how theirs works. Aside from different and better than the other ones, of course.

They dump shite loads of fuel.

These cheapo chips are crap and usually just advance timing. I good programmer you can compensate larger tires, gear changes, change shift points, some you can gain hp and tq but diesels see bigger gains. You can also read and clear trouble codes. Get custom tunes done.

Code readers are like $40 at Harbor Freight, so that's not really a big deal.

These days a tune is essential when modifying ecm controlled vehicles.  Each modification is enhanced by a specific tune.  Headers, high flow cats/cat back exhaust, intake manifolds, CAI, super chargerser, etc.  I know on my car a tune by itself is worth 20HP.

More fuel + a timing change = more HP

I have a Bully Dog GT Gas in my 6l Silverado half ton.  Love it.

It allegedly adds 40hp on the highest setting.  I don't know about all that, but it did give me +2 mpg, and having adjustable shift points/pressure really makes the truck a monster.  fucking thing leaps.
