My Dad, brother, and I went to the one in March(?) this year. We drove down on Friday (from central Nebraska), went to the show Saturday morning, and drove back that afternoon. While it was entertaining there were too many people and it just stopped being enjoyable for me after about 6 hours of walking and fighting crowds.
That fact that it was a 1000mi round trip didn't help either. I won't be going again. The only plus was I got to fondle some scopes I had never seen before like a USO SN3 3.2-17x44, Premier Heritage (drool), and a Vortex PST. |
Man, that place was a zoo. I managed to walk it in its entirety today though...  Found some good buys on surplus pull down reloading components, used private party handguns and believe it or not, magazines.
Also, seemed like everyother table had several personal weapons for sale for cash... alot of guys had those little credit card swipe things in their smartphones too... if gunshows don't get banned I expect to see alot more instant cashless sales for private party transactions. |
