Can hear them in the woods behind my house right now.

As crappy as I feel right now, it is a comforting sound; things still continue, owls still spend the night fucking shit up.

I used to have owls outside my windows, could hear them at night in the woods behind my house all summer long.

And then they built a subdivision there.....

Any day now, the Barrier owls should be back, for winter.

We have barn owls all around the place throughout the year.
